TOS & SAFETY ARE A MATCH!
Last week we were invited by FMTC Safety, Spinel, H2K and Saphire to join their Safety Event in Dordrecht. FMTC and TOS have collaborated on training our seafarers for years. Numerous security demonstrations were held at the event, and we ourselves were able to join in too! Some of the highlights were Sybren Huurman putting out a fire, rescuing someone trapped in a car after an accident with a train, and a simulation of a helicopter going into the water.
Eternal fame: contest immersion suit
There was also a prize for the person who could put on an immersion suit the fastest! Our colleague Eline Suurmond went all out and set a record time. She was awarded a cup, chocolate, and eternal fame for her efforts. We also had time to meet and chat with several FMTC employees in person.
